Hi everyone! Just returned from an incredible trip to New Orleans, where I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and checked out Jazz Fest. I love NOLA! It was my second visit in six years and I could not have picked a better time to do so. The city was so alive, bursting with music and pride, and I simply could not get enough of the food. I had almost every type of crawfish dish you could imagine... crawfish gumbo, crawfish etouffee, crawfish po-boy, crawfish sushi, crawfish pie, crawfish bread, crawfish enchiladas, crawfish beignet, boiled crawfish. They must farm a bazillion crawfish down there, and half of them ended up in my stomach! LOL... I have definitely gained a few pounds in the past couple weeks, which I'm hoping to lose once I get back to pole dancing and rock climbing next week.

But I digress... at Habitat, we worked on the Musicians Village in the Upper 9th Ward, which is a new housing community aimed at bringing back the city's musicians since most of them had fled after Katrina. It was so amazing to see all these colorful houses being built from the ground up by volunteers... really shows you how there are still a lot of people out there with a big heart. I did some painting, roofing and cabinet work, and during our lunch break, took a walk around the neighborhood. It's so different to watch and read about the hurricane devastation in the news, and to actually experience it in person. Walking through the 9th Ward was like walking through a modern-day ghost town. Homes were obliterated and abandoned, streets were filled with debris, and on a lot of buildings you could see the water line from how high the area flooded... some reached to six feet. It's so heartbreaking to imagine what the residents went through, both during and after Katrina. Seeing the aftermath firsthand, and hearing stories from some of the locals we met, brought a renewed sense of determination to help with rebuilding the area. If any of you are in NOLA and want to volunteer, I highly recommend working with Habitat... they are such a great group of people!

Last weekend brought the closing segment of Jazz Fest to the city, and it lived up to all expectations. I saw Stephen Marley, John Mayer and John Legend, and spent a day in the blues tent where Marva Wright and Taj Mahal brought down the house. At night my friends and I would hit the local jazz clubs and get our fill of chicory coffee with beignets at Cafe du Monde. We also took a ghost tour around the French Quarter and I bought a voodoo doll from the Marie Laveau Voodoo Shop, blessed to bring me prosperity!

I had a fantastic time all around, though the hot and humid weather was often too much for me to handle. I ended up showering two or three times a day just to feel human! On the upside... at least it's not summer yet.

I also visited with family before I left for New Orleans and tied up any loose ends associated with my car accident back in March. The incident is now completely behind me and I'm healthy and happy. Thank you for the kind emails wishing me a speedy recovery and for all your good thoughts.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!

I just added two new DVDs to my online Store! Fantasy Exchange Asia is a new title from Peach DVD starring your favorite Far East beauties including Felicia Tang, TigerLily, Teanna Kai, Akira Lane and me. Meth & Red is a Playboy release that features a wild, heart-pumping scene of me wrestling in red jello with another model! We start off in skimpy bikinis and quickly strip each other down in a sexy scuffle. Not to be missed!

Also, I recently found out that Anime Expo will be held in Long Beach, California this year (not Anaheim as I had previously posted). Mark your calendars and hope to see you there!

I'm sure many of you are wondering where I've been lately, and I want to apologize for my lack of communication. A lot has happened since I last posted in my blog. Early last month, I was involved in a serious hit-and-run car accident caused by an idiot that cut me off on the freeway. Long story short, my car was completely totaled and while I was (and still am) very shaken up by the incident, I didn't sustain too many physical injuries. God bless my seatbelt and my guardian angel.

The last several weeks have been an ongoing series of doctor visits, lawyer consultations, insurance claims, and trying to move on from the accident. It's been emotionally draining and a huge life-affirming experience for me. After this happened, I truly believe that there is a higher power watching over me. I had witnesses crying at my accident scene, overwhelmed with shock that I was able to walk away from the wreck. Everything happened so fast that I still have trouble remembering it in detail, and I still feel a little anxious when I drive down that same stretch of highway now and see the remnants from my accident.

I've been taking it easy lately and trying to cope with the aftermath, which includes the stress of having to buy a new car. Ordinarily this would be an exciting purchase, especially since I had planned on trading in my old car at the end of the year, but I wish it had happened under different circumstances. Not to mention, when I saw my old car relegated to the junkyard, I felt a sad and sentimental attachment to it. It was my first "real" car (I don't count my first actual car from high school, since it barely ran) and it's been through so much with me over the last six years. I miss it. I do love my new car though, and most importantly, I feel safe in it.

It's been pretty chaotic lately amidst all the paperwork and phone calls I've been dealing with, and I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. The accident has made many of my priorities change recently. In my off time, I've been able to take longer walks on the beach with my dogs, visit more often with family and friends, and pursue new hobbies that I kept putting off. I've also been taking on fewer but more meaningful, creative work that interests me... a refreshing change of pace. It's amazing how one split-second moment can really turn your life around. I never thought I took life for granted before, but now I definitely value the small and beautiful things that comprise it, no matter how trivial they may seem.

Also, I've had many fans asking about my upcoming appearances, and so far I'll be signing at Anime Expo (Anaheim) and Comic Con (San Diego) in July. Other shows may be added soon, but are still tentative at this point. Be sure to bookmark my Events calendar and keep checking in for the latest updates.

In the meantime, you can always call my Keen/Niteflirt line at 1-800-TO-FLIRT extension 01810273. It's a fantastic service that connects you on the phone directly to me, so we can chat whenever I'm available. You can also schedule appointments with me if I'm not available. If you've never been able to attend one of my appearances, this is a great way to get to know me personally, and anonymously if you prefer. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for your continued support; it's definitely something that I need right now!
